This is with Xcode 5 GM.

I have assigned launch images and icons. But the tool refuses to play ball. See screen shot.

I found that if I manually create:


Then it works. SO I guess you need to make sure that directory exists.

Already fixed in the 4.0.13 and 4.1.11 branches (not yet released, but hopefully very soon now)

We have checked, now directory Images.xcassets creates under '~/iPhoneSimulator/Debug/Resources/'
