When using the "Find in files" dialog, and choosing the filter "Current project", I just got the warning message "Currently there is no project selected. Search in the solution instead". However, in these circumstances this warning should not be shown, because I have a document open in the text editor, and that document belongs to a project in the solution.
So my guess is that the bug here is this dialog maybe relying on what is selected in the solution pad, instead of just relying on which project does the current document belong to.
I think it's a general problem with the CurrentSelectedProjet - if a document is open that property should point to the project document if the project browser hasn't a selected project.
