mono.android.DesignerException: Empty region!
This problem found when the Xamarin Studio generate AndroidManifest.xml from "Option->Build->Android Application".
I can't reproduce this issue. Do you have a sample project that I can use to see the problem?

The problem is caused by the @drawable/app icon specified in the manifest. Looks like the Android SDK doesn't like .ico files. I'll do some research on that. As a workaround, try using a .png file instead of .icon.
Thank you very much.
This appears to work now, however, I'm guessing you probably only want to use a .png anyways.
