Please create a new report on
Developer Community or GitHub with
your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Steps to reproduce this issue:
1. Open or create iOS storyboard application.
2. Open storyboard file.
3. Drag iAd Banner View widget on View Controller.
4. Select iAd Banner View and open Properties window.
Actual result: Properties window displayed blank. While we are able to change property of iAd using Xcode interface.
Expected Result: User should able to change property of iAd Banner View using iOS Designer.
X.S 4.1.8(build 8)
REGRESSION: This is working fine X.S 4.1.1(build 49)
This might be expected, I believe all properties in the iAD Banner have been deprecated as of iOS 6 and so are not user settable anymore. We *may* need to support them anyway in the designer but I doubt this is a blocker. We should review the apple documentation on this.
At the time that was a conscious decision.
Now, in that case the issue isn't that the property panel is empty (it would show a message) but that ProxiedADBannerView has an empty class hierarchy. Is that expected?
Nothing should have an incorrect class hierarchy. We should definitely fix that.
Maybe we should look into a more automated way of detecting this as part of our test suite? Could we throw an exception in the parser every time we have a ModelObject with no class hierarchy, and also throw an exception if the class hierarchy contains any types which inherit ModelObject (as that would be wrong)?
Fixed, with tests.
Now properties window for iAD Banner view widget is not shown blank.
