Hey, I'm definitely logged in, but XS suddenly doesn't let me upload app on the device.
I'll downgrade to Stable to see if it's a problem with Alpha.

It's an old evaluation (not trial) check that got triggered by a tool being renamed. This will be fixed in future XS releases.
As an immediate workaround you can satisfy the check by doing:
(of course that won't make the old evaluation version works).

QA: once installed you should see 3 arm-darwin-mono*, e.g.
% ls /Developer/MonoTouch/usr/bin/arm-darwin-mono*
Installed 0f93119086af01e33aebcfa280909d414f07778a, I see the symlink from arm-darwin-mono to arm-darwin-mono-boehm.
I can now Run->Upload to device successfully using XS 4.0.10 d550634949488e5db108e5b48fc2e357c5f6b32f
