Dialog From VS2012

Using Windows 8, Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate, Xamarin.Android 4.6.8. I tried to open the project AndroidActionBarPullToFresh from the monodroid-samples:
https://github.com/xamarin/monodroid-samples/tree/master/ActionBarPullToRefresh. When I do so, a dialog titled "Review Project and Solution Changes" appears, with the following text in it:

This version of Visual studio does not have the following Project types installed or does not support them. You can still open these projets in the version of Visual Studio in which they were originally created.

I've attached a screenshot of the dialog.

This project opens fine in Xamarin Studio 4.0.9/Xamarin.Android 4.6.8. I spoke with Atsushi, and he created the sample using Xamarin Studio (not sure of which version - will update when I find out).

I can reproduce this with any Android projects I create in Xamarin Studio 4.0.12 and 4.0.13 on Mac when I have the F# add-in installed & enabled. Disabling the Xamarin.Android F# plugin prevents Xamarin Studio from adding the extra ProjectTypeGuid. So this is probably a bug in the F# add-in?

At least for the projects I've been creating, manually deleting the "{F278D4AB-4730-4720-B08E-FE5E31564D9E}" ProjectTypeGuid allows the projects to be opened in Visual Studio.

Is this still an issue, I cant seem to replicate it?
Comment 5 Tom Opgenorth 2015-04-21 09:57:25 UTC
Nor can I. I assume that given the age the issue has been fixed over time.
