When I try to Debug a basic application the Emulator Selection Screen Pops up. All are greyed out.
I then select an emulator that has been installed and try to start using the Start emulator Button.
It never starts so I cannot debug.
I've reloaded the Android SDK and it's still the same

Just to let you know that I've found a solution to the issue I was having.

I looked in the Event log this morning  and found a reference to ig4icd32.dll failing. After another search on the internet I found the following reply: -

Just go to the /tools/lib and rename the file libOpenglRender.dll to something else like rename libOpenglRender.dll.bak....

Now everything is working fine. The page mentioned a possible OpenGL issue with the Graphics Card. 

This appears to be an issue with the Android Emulator and my Graphics card and not Xamarin. It may be worth pointing this issue out to other potential users

Thanks for the update! We'll look into improving error reporting when launching the emulator.
