This should already be fixed in git master
Comment 4 Rolf Bjarne Kvinge [MSFT] 2013-07-17 07:47:22 UTC
I just got a very similar deadlock with the 4.0.10 release candidate: https://gist.github.com/rolfbjarne/c9573b37fa7606a66b6d

Did the fix for this not get into that version?

Xamarin Studio
Version 4.0.10 (build 3)
Installation UUID: 879fb660-ca68-476c-bc64-34ed63215ba4
	Mono 3.0.12 ((no/d6c5db8)
	GTK 2.24.18
	GTK# (
	Package version: 300120000
Comment 5 Jeffrey Stedfast 2013-07-17 11:01:39 UTC
none of the deadlock fixes made it into 4.0.10

4.0.10 is just 4.0.9 + MonoTouch FastDev + activation fixes

Today, we have checked this issue with:

XS 4.2.3(build 154)- 4dca4a28d7ecc2c4df8a4d58e74b8902d0283b53
Xamarin addins: cc120a6f639fa6649aa4d23a0f0e7c5701134047

Now this issue is not exist, we are successfully able to apply a breakpoint without any deadlock.

Hence marking this as Verified.
