Description Krzysztof Kowalczyk 2011-10-05 18:39:52 UTC
This is MonoDevelop 2.8 on Windows.

Repro steps:
1. clone https://github.com/kjk/volante
2. Try to open csharp\Volante.sln

What happens: Mono Develop crashes

What should happen: no crash

It also crashes on Mac (last build I tried was 2.8 beta 1).

On some builds it didn't crash immediately but only after I tried to expand the list of files.

It's a rather simple solution that I created in Visual Studio 2010.

MonoDevelop also crashes when I try to re-create the project i.e. I create a new DLL project, use "Add files from folder", select "csharp\src" folder, use "Include al" option in the dialog, press "Ok" => crash.

If I'm to believe Visual Studio debugger, it's a stack overflow crash in "Background parser" thread: "An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in MonoDevelop.Core.dll"

Per procmon, the last file accessed are Btree.cs, BlobImpl.cs so most likely some built-in parser is crashing processing one of those files.

fixed that one.
