Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2011-10-05 15:26:10 UTC
When matching in the "Navigate To" dialog, it's not possible to disambiguate many things:
* several members with the same name on different types
* method overloads
* types in different namespace or projects
* filenames in different paths

This could be solved by allowing more search terms, separated by spaces. They would match against the values in the qualifiers that are already displayed in grey:
* method: parameters, type, project
* class: namespace, project
* filename: path, project

I think this is resolved now with the "new" global search, right? you can search for things like

> class: foo

Try navigating to a member called ToString.

You cannot get to it at all, because there are too many results and you cannot filter further.

I would envision typing one of

ClassName ToString
ToString ClassName

and have it match ClassName.ToString().
