this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Build and deploy can be slow because the $(MonoAndroidResDirIntermediate)\values\styles.xml (e.g. obj\Debug\res\values\styles.xml) is always updated, prompting a "rebuild cascade" as everything that depends on Android resources must be rebuilt.
Removing all calls to this: "_AddTrialSplashScreenResources" seems to fix this problem
Can also be worked around by applying the following patch to Xamarin.Android.Common.targets:
