Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-05-16 16:45:33 UTC
The code formatter breaks the following code by removing the "()":

public bool EmptyTable<T> (CancellationToken cancellationToken = default(CancellationToken)) where T : new()
Comment 1 Mike Krüger 2013-05-17 05:31:01 UTC
oops - the parens for the constraint weren't in the AST

Comment 2 John Boker 2013-05-31 09:35:59 UTC
I'm still seeing this problem in version 4.0.8 (build 2) on Windows.
Comment 3 Nate Rickard 2013-06-03 11:43:46 UTC
+1   4.0.8 (build 2), not windows though

This really gets under my skin since I like to keep my code nice and formatted :)

This bug was marked as fixed for Xamarin Studio 4.0.9, which is currently in the beta channel. Try it out!
Comment 5 Michael McGlothlin 2013-09-21 17:15:03 UTC
In 4.0.12 on MacOS there doesn't seem to be a way to add a space before the parenthesis in "where T : new()".
Comment 6 Mike Krüger 2013-09-22 00:13:21 UTC
Will work in 4.0.14
