Description Simon Jefferies 2013-04-10 16:41:08 UTC
On right clicking on a file in a project (e.g. txt file or XNB file) and setting the build action to AndroidAsset.
The IDE will attempt to set the build action and subsequently crash. This occurs very frequently and makes the IDE unusable.

Could you attach the logs from %LOCALAPPDATA%\XamarinStudio-4.0\Logs?

H, the crash trace doesn't seem to be in the logs. Do you have any way to see a native trace?
Comment 4 Simon Jefferies 2013-04-10 17:35:07 UTC
Not sure what you mean by native trace.
Comment 5 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-04-10 17:44:20 UTC
It's probably crashing in the native UI toolkit, which means we can't crash and log the exception. If you have Visual Studio, it will offer to attach to the process when it crash. If you attach, you can view the native stack.
Comment 6 Simon Jefferies 2013-04-11 00:59:52 UTC
The callstack it comes up with is [External Code]. But I noticed in the threads section it shows the calling function:-

Unflagged	>	9552	1	Main Thread	GUI Thread	MonoDevelop.Components.Commands.DefaultCommandHandler.Run()	Normal
