Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-04-02 20:27:55 UTC
Often it takes around 5 seconds to open the context menu on symbols in the source editor.

Should be fixed.

Now we no longer have context actions when source analysis is disabled :/

And I still have the lag.

Interestingly, the lag is only on methods, not types or locals.
Comment 4 Mike Krüger 2013-04-04 01:31:56 UTC
Do you've source analysis disabled ?
Comment 5 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-04-04 01:39:33 UTC

But the thing is:
a) we've shipped context actions working w/o source analysis, users will be annoyed if they disappear
b) the context menu on methods is slow regardless, so it has nothing to do with source analysis
Comment 6 Mike Krüger 2013-04-04 02:14:47 UTC
was something different - the debug messages. I just thought that you're working with source analysis turned on.

The context menu should be faster with analysis turned on - but as said the real cause were the debug messages.

Yes, it's now pretty much instant. Thanks! I think this makes XS feel much faster now :)
Comment 8 Mike Krüger 2013-04-04 13:40:55 UTC
I found and fixed another issue as well.

The background resolver should now be much faster in additon to that - source analysis really profits from this change.
