When navigating with the keyboard in the solution pad, left-arrow should collapse the container/folder. Also, page-up/page-down should work.

I think this is something that needs to be fixed in the gtktreeview bindings.
Comment 2 Michael Natterer 2013-04-05 03:07:46 UTC
This fixes it, goes into some gtkrc, like of the theme:

binding "gtk-mac-expand-collapse-cursor-row"
  unbind "Left"
  unbind "Right"
  bind "Left"  { "expand-collapse-cursor-row" (0, 0, 0) }
  bind "Right" { "expand-collapse-cursor-row" (0, 1, 0) }

class "GtkTreeView" binding "gtk-mac-expand-collapse-cursor-row"
Comment 3 Michael Natterer 2013-04-05 03:08:14 UTC
(assuming that "Right" without modifier should expand)
Comment 4 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-04-05 03:59:16 UTC
Why wouldn't it got into gtkrc.key.mac? I see this behaviour in e.g Finder.
Comment 5 Michael Natterer 2013-04-05 04:48:48 UTC
That was my first thought too, but GTK+ allows to have multiple focussable
cells per tree row, and the default is to navigate between them. Is this
at all possible in native trees? And if yes, how do they handle keyboard
Comment 6 Kristian Rietveld (inactive) 2013-04-05 04:55:19 UTC
I have never seen a native tree handle multiple focussable cells per row like GTK+ does.
Comment 7 Michael Natterer 2013-04-05 05:12:07 UTC
Me neither. I suggest to start with adding that to MD's theme so we don't
break a GTK+ feature. Opinions?
Comment 8 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2013-04-08 18:28:11 UTC
Seems like a reasonable solution for now. Landed.
