Description Miha Markic 2013-03-08 12:11:13 UTC
Not sure what is causing this but Xamarin Studio won't install ASP.NET > 2.0 templates when Visual Studio isn't installed before the installation. If VS is installed (VS2012) then Xamarin Studio will install asp.net templates as expected.
Tested on Win 8 x64.

I assume you're talking about ASP.NET *MVC* 3 & 4.

The templates are there, they're just hidden unless you actually have ASP.NET 3 & 4 installed. They get installed by VS, or you can install them individually.

Yeah, MVC. Doesn't mono 3.0.6. contain asp.net mvc as well? Whether it is installed before or after Xamarin Studio doesn't affect the visibility of mentioned templates - always hidden.

The assemblies need to be installed for the target runtime.

For .NET this means assembly folders, for Mono it means pkgconfig.
